Here is a note from the artist: “My name is Ella Nickerson. I live in Rhode Island, and I am 13 years old. I have been drawing since I was 6, and art is one of my biggest passions along with science, which is actually what inspired me to draw a heart for this contest! I drew this anatomical heart using Prismacolor colored pencils on toned tan paper.”
